Commended Students in the 2008 National Merit Scholarship Program

Mr. Timothy Rankin, Principal of McDowell High School, announced today that David M. Holcomb, Marcus S. Gealy, Colleen M. Harriger, and Julie M. Ropelewski have been named Commended Students in the 2008 National Merit Scholarship Program.

These scholastically talented seniors are among approximately 34,000 Commended Students across the nation being recognized for their exceptional academic promise. These students have placed among the top five percent of more than 1.4 million students who took the 2006 PSAT/NMSQT.
