Students in Mrs. Kramer’s 8th grade Family & Consumer Sciences students made fleece blankets through a grant funded by McDonalds. The blankets were constructed with fun, vibrant prints of various kid-friendly designs for both boys and girls. They were donated to Shriners Hospital in Erie, PA to give to patients who may need some extra-special comfort!

This is a monthly award given by the Kiwanis Club of the Millcreek Area to three students who display such attributes as leadership, service, character and total citizenship. The McDowell High School and Intermediate High School staff members nominate and select these individuals. Awards given on November 19th were:

This Channel 16 presentation involves discussion of events leading up to the December 6th presentation. This discussion included Tolerance 101 students and event organizer. The December 6th presentation includes a short film followed by comments by Daoud Hari, a refugee from the Darfur region
