Phone Number Changes

With the opening of newly renovated J. S. Wilson Middle School, several district telephone and FAX numbers had to be changed to accomodate the realignment of the district’s overall dial plan and telephone system. The Department of Information Services did not become aware of this until Wednesday, March 19th and apologizes for any inconvenience.

Congratulations to the McDowell ASL team for finishing second at the state championship tournament this weekend! This is the best performance in McDowell History! With a score that is higher than most state championship scores. Chris Shoup won the silver medal in speech. Marcus Gealy won the bronze in language and literature, math, economics, and super quiz. J-D Kelley won the silver in language and literature. Adam Krull won the silver in essay. Dylan Yetter was the state champion in music. Justin Burkett finished second overall and won the silver in super quiz and science, and was the state champion in music, language and literature, and economics! Also, helping the team succeed were Tom Stiller, Mike Murabito, and Laura McKnight. Great Job!

The Student Art Show to be held at the Millcreek Education Center this evening (March 7, 2008) is CANCELLED. This event will be rescheduled for a later date.

The Asbury Preschool Family Fun Night scheduled for this evening (March 7,2008) is CANCELLED.

At the conclusion of the N.C.F.L. Regular Season, nine McDowell students stood as the 2008 N.C.F.L. Season Champions. The Season Championship goes to the students who earned the most points in seven regular season N.C.F.L. Events. Those tournaments were held at Cathedral Prep, Fairview, Mercyhurst Prep, Mercer, Meadville, and Greenville High Schools.
