Professional Technology Development Offering for this summer!

Students from McDowell & MIHS participated in the construction of a display designed to raise awareness of the Genocide taking place in the Darfur region of Sudan.

Location: McDowell HS 1st floor near elevator

Participants:
Students from both buildings submitted photographs used in the display. The display was a project organized by the student group known as EXPOSURE. Group officers include Asha Thomas President, Julie Hawthorne Co-President, Katie Morton Secretary and Kayla Schonthaler Treasurer. The group was formed in the later part of the 2007-2008 school year and will conduct regular meetings and activities beginning with the 2008-2009 school year. The groups objective is to raise awareness of world problems, promote tolerance and the acceptance of diversity.

Due to new PIAA regulations, McDowell HS will now only be offering athletic physicals once per school year. The 2008-2009 physicals will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2008 at McDowell High School. All physical packets can be picked up in the McDowell Athletic office and this packet MUST be used whether you use your personal physician or attend on June 28th. The schedule is as follows:

8:00 am - 9:30 am ALL FALL SPORTS-GRADES 9-12
9:30 am - 10:30 am ALL WINTER SPORTS-GRADES 9-12
10:30 am - 12:00 am ALL SPRING SPORTS-GRADES 9-12
12:00 am - 1:30 pm ALL FALL SPORTS-GRADES 7-8
1:30 pm- 2:30 pm ALL WINTER SPORTS-GRADES 7-8
2:30 pm - 4:00 pm ALL SPRING SPORTS-GRADES 7-8

Cost is $10.00 (Checks made payable to MTSD)
