2008 Women2Women Cultural Connection & Leadership Program

Five McDowell High School seniors have been selected to attend the 2008 W2W Conference in Cambridge Mass. The conference will be attended by 75 students from 14 countries with the goal of establishing cultural connections and developing leadership skills. The young ladies from McDowell are members of the student group known as Exposure. The Exposure Club has a mission of promoting tolerance and increasing global awareness among the student body and the Millcreek community.
Participants will be involved in a variety of activities and hear from several prominent leaders from around the world during the week long conference. Activities include tour of Boston, Harvard University, and the Mass. State House. Speakers scheduled to appear include Victoria Budson, Executive Director, Women & Public Policy, Harvard University John F. Kennedy School of Government; Susan Hackley, Managing Director, Program on Negotiation, Harvard Law School; Susan Alexander, Ex VP, Biogen Idec; James Roosevelt, Jr., President & CEO, Tufts Health Plan; and leaders from the Mass State House.
