On Wednesday, October 31, we will hold our annual Halloween Party and Costume Parade.  Please note the following:

• Following the parade, PTA room parents will furnish a party treat for each classroom.  In compliance with the MTSD Nutrition & Wellness Policy, ONLY ONE SNACK AND ONE DRINK (100% fruit juice, water, or milk) will be permitted.  This snack & drink will be provided by the PTA.  Please DO NOT send in extra treats or snacks with your child. 
• Please adhere to this policy.  We cannot distribute any additional snacks.  Don’t send them in or bring them in.
• Students will have an opportunity to dress prior to the parade which begins at 2:00 p.m.  Students are not to wear their costumes to school. Students will be given time to change out of costumes before dismissal.
• Parents are invited to the gym for the parade.  Room parents only will be permitted to go to classrooms for the party.  Space is needed for holiday games & activities.
• Due to insurance regulations, aerosol cans are not permitted nor are students permitted to bring real or toy weapons such as knives, guns, etc.  Please do not allow your child to bring any type of weapons to school as part of their Halloween costume.

There will also be NO SCHOOL on Tuesday, November 6^th.  This is a Parent Conference Day.  You will be contacted by your child’s teacher if a conference has been requested.  School will resume on Wednesday, November 7^th.

Help make our “float”-ing red carpet for the Homecoming parade.  You can come to the gym on Tuesday, Oct. 2, during the day (great for those moms with pre-schoolers) or from 6:30-8 p.m.  Bring scissors! Questions - call Bonnie Fagan (836-2990 or Geobonnie@verizon.net)
