McDowell High School has received notice of a Joint Apprenticeship Program for Heat and Frost insulators and Asbestos Workers from Pittsburgh, PA Local Union No. 2. Interested 18-year-old, high school graduates or students who have earned their GED should stop in the student services office at McDowell to see the full posting and check to make sure they meet the requirements. Completed applications must be postmarked on or before August 7, 2009.

This is a role playing activity in which students take on the roles of delegates to the United Nations. The countries assigned to McDowell to represent for the fall are Lybia and Sudan.
