If I had a dime for every time I heard this phrase on a daily basis…
People ask for book recommendations all the time, and it’s really tough to suggest books to students without knowing their reading readiness, their interests, and their intentions for reading. A good place to start is with reputable book lists from organizations such as YALSA (Young Adult Library Services Association), which is a division of the ALA (American Library Association). Click here for YALSA’s Best Book list for 2007. YALSA also provides suggested book lists for reluctant readers, for the college-bound, and even for the best audiobooks.
