Attention Asbury Elementary Families,

We value your dedication and partnership, as you entrust the care and education of your children to us.

Millcreek Township School District Administration and Pandemic Team have made the decision to move to 100% Virtual Learning temporarily for all students at Asbury from Tuesday, November 3, 2020, to Monday, November 9, 2020.

The decision by the Administration and the Pandemic Team for a shift to temporary virtual learning was grounded in two distinct factors. The first, the availability of our academic staff to continue to provide face-to-face, on-campus instruction to our students. Secondly, the 1-1.9% school positivity rate threshold for closure as stated in our Health & Safety Plan.

To date, we remain unable to track ANY coronavirus cases tracked within the classroom or the school buildings. Thank you parents, students, families, and community members for your dedication to practicing the 3Ws in the classroom, on the field, and at home as part of our dedication to remain Stronger Together.

Our team continues to work diligently to keep our schools open while navigating a pandemic environment. Further, we are dedicated to providing high-quality instruction to our students, supporting our teachers, faculty, and staff, and as always committed to the health and safety of the entire school community.

Asbury Elementary will reopen on Tuesday, November 10, 2020, and remain an in-person, on-campus day for our Blue group students.

Students will attend classes following the Google Classroom assignments provided by the teacher during this time. All attendance will be monitored through Infinite Campus for assignment participation and completion. Virtual Teacher conferences scheduled for Tuesday, November 3, 2020, may be adjusted, your child’s teacher will be in direct communication if any change is made.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact our Administration and/or Building Principal.

In Solidarity,

Dr. Ian A. Roberts
