Dr. Rick Lansberry

Dr. Richard Lansberry moved to Erie Pennsylvania from Rochester New York in 1977 to take a position with the Erie City School District as a special education teacher. Dr. Lansberry continued his graduate education at Edinboro University and later completed a Ph.D. in learning and reading instruction from the University of Buffalo in 1993. Throughout his 36 years in education, Dr. Lansberry held a number of administrative and leadership positions, retiring as the Superintendent of Harbor Creek Schools in 2013. Dr. Lansberry and his wife have lived in Millcreek since 1982. Both their children attended Millcreek Schools and graduated from McDowell High School.

Dr. Lansberry was appointed to the School Board of Directors on January 19, 2021, to fill a vacancy. He looks forward to bringing his educational experience to the Board.
