Why MTSD Pre-K?
- Millcreek Township School District Pre-K programs provide fully integrated, enriched, student-centered, hands-on environments which engage students in a structured curriculum centered around social/emotional, physical, cognitive, and language development. We have carefully aligned our pre-k curriculum with the district’s kindergarten curriculum to assure all students participating have a smooth and seamless transition to kindergarten. Each pre-k classroom has an experienced team of professionals, led by a certified teacher and a pre-k assistant.

We strive to provide a fully integrated, enriched, student-centered, and hands-on learning environment that meets the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive needs of students ages 3-5. MTSD Pre-K Program:
The Pre-K Program has been designed to provide MTSD families with high quality early learning experiences for their three through five-year-old children. The MTSD Pre-K classes are located at the Asbury, Belle Valley, McDowell Intermediate, Walnut Creek, and Westlake schools.
The learning environment focuses on the whole child by providing opportunities for social, emotional, and cognitive development along with math, science, arts, and physical development in preparation for kindergarten. Pre-K students participate in a stimulating environment which emphasizes a love for learning. The Pre-K Program utilizes a curriculum aligned with the Pennsylvania Early Learning Standards and the MTSD Kindergarten curriculum. The goal of the MTSD Pre-K Program is to facilitate an environment that sparks your child’s curiosity for learning and help each child reach his/her fullest learning potential.
The Pre-K Program operates from 9:00 am to 3:15 pm.
Pre-K Extended Care:
The CDC, Inc. will accept MTSD Pre-K students into their Before/After Care program at our Asbury & Belle Valley locations. The CDC, Inc. Before/After Care program provides engaging activities, includes nurturing care, a daily afternoon snack, homework help, and a 10% sibling discount. CDC also offers subsidized tuition through the Early Learning Resource Center for income-eligible families (ELRC).
Schedule:
- Morning Care: Dropoff as early as 7:00 AM
- After Care: Pickup by 6:00 PM
