Before/After School Care at Asbury, Belle Valley, Chestnut Hill, Grandview, and Tracy

The MTSD Before/After Care Programs provide a high-quality, developmentally appropriate learning experiences for students in grades K through 5.   The Before/After Care Program provides a safe, educational, and recreation environment before and after school.  Caring staff engage the students in creative activities and recreational games on a daily basis.  Program activities foster students' social and communication skills, as well as promote their physical development and academic learning.

The Before Care Program operates from 7:00 am until school starts at 9:15 am.

The After Care Program operates from the 3:30 school dismissal until 6:00 pm.

Parents can select Before Care and/or After Care options for 5-days / week, 3-days / week, and 2-days/week.

Pre-K Classrooms at Asbury, Belle Valley, McDowell, Walnut Creek, and Westlake.

The Pre-K programs have been designed to provide MTSD families with high quality early learning experiences for their three through five-year-old children.  The MTSD Pre-K classes are located at Asbury, Belle Valley, McDowell, Walnut Creek, and Westlake schools.

Pre-K Academic Programming Options:

Families have two Pre-K academic program options from which to choose:  Half-day Pre-K and Full-day Pre-K.

Within both options, the curriculum focuses on the whole child by providing opportunities for social, emotional, and cognitive development along with math, science, arts, and physical development in preparation for kindergarten.  Pre-K students participate in a stimulating environment which emphasizes a love for learning by utilizing a curriculum aligned with the Pennsylvania Early Learning Standards and the MTSD Kindergarten curriculum.  The goal of the MTSD Pre-K Program is to facilitate an environment that sparks your child’s curiosity for learning and help each child reach his/her fullest learning potential.

The Half-day Pre-K program operates from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm.  Half-day Pre-K classrooms are located at Asbury, Belle Valley, and Westlake.

The Full-day Pre-K program operates from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm.  Full-day Pre-K classrooms are located at Belle Valley, McDowell, and Westlake.

With both options, parents can choose 5-day / week, 3-day / week, or 2-day / week schedules.  

Pre-K Extended Care:

Pre-K Before Care and Pre-K After Care is available for families who need extended care. 

The Pre-K classes at Asbury, Belle Valley, and Westlake operate Before Care programs starting at 7:00 am.  The Pre-K Before Care programs at McDowell and Walnut Creek open at 7:30 am.

After Care programs are available for each Pre-K classroom until 6:00 pm.
