First Day of School

The first day of school for 2019 - 2020 is August 26th.

Attendance Hotline

Just a friendly reminder to please call the Attendance line at 814-835-5618 when your child is going to be late or not in school. Also, please send in a note as to why he/she was out within 3 days of your child returning back to school. We appreciate your help with this especially during the cold/flu season!

Belle Valley Title 1 Program

The Belle Valley Title 1 program sponsors and supports many events for our students, families and teachers.

Title I Parent Involvement & Events

  • A bookshelf filled with books is available every morning for students to borrow and return books.
  • Kindergarten-2nd grade students received a book and a guide with activities at open house. www.paonebook.com
  • Students are awarded with a Get Caught Reading Ticket to encourage reading anywhere & everywhere. Winners are announced on BVTV each month and receive a book of their choice.

  • Summer Reading Activity & Reward
  • Family Engagement Night- January
  • Read Across America Week- We celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday with activities all week.
  • We Both Read- Students receiving intervention are given a book to take home to read with a family member.

Title I Purchases

  • Career books purchased for the library
  • Character books purchased for the Library
  • Stick Together Poster Puzzle for the Library- when a student reads and returns their library book they get a sticker to be placed on a poster. The stickers come together to make a picture.
  • Money given to teachers to boost literacy centers
  • Accelerated Reading is being piloted in 4 classrooms
  • Home School Connection Newsletter
  • Supplies were purchased for fine motor intervention
  • Bricks4Kids came to all classrooms K-5
  • Erie Zoo presented to all classrooms K-5
  • Intervention supplies purchased for Title and SIS interventionists.
