Chestnut Hill Beach Party

Families had fun at Chestnut Hill's Beach Party to benefit the American Heart Association on Friday, March 15. We raised $1,156.00 for this great charity. Families had fun playing Bingo, Boardwalk games, and dancing to the music played by our DJ Kev. Teachers and their children got drenched at the Dunk Hat Station. Thanks to them for being such good sports.

Thank you to all who made this a successful, enjoyable evening.

Chestnut Hill's Talent Show 2019

The students and staff of Chestnut Hill held their fabulous talent show on Thursday, March 7 in the J. S. Wilson auditorium. There were so many talented acts and, of course, the teachers outdid themselves once again.

We also want to congratulate Tom McGranor, our Custodian and Mrs. Shanda Coleman for receiving PTA's Worthy Recipient Award.

Third graders working hard studying violin.

Third graders just completed a 6 week study of the violin and instruments in the orchestral string family. They learned how to hold the instrument and the bow, how to play using pizzicato (plucking the strings) and bowing techniques, and learned to play a few songs, like Hot cross Buns, Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, and Mary Had a Little Lamb. It was a whirlwind, but they rose to the challenge and played like champs!
