A MESSGE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL
Dear Families of Grandview,
As we are approaching a holiday that focuses on reflection, I wanted to start by taking a minute to give my thanks for the family of Grandview. Throughout the last eight months, there has been a significant amount of change, not just in the world, but especially at our school. However, even with what can seem like daily changes, each of you has worked with us and given us your trust that we are ensuring the safety, education, and social-emotional well-being of your children. A school is a community that we are all a part of. Through these last eight months, one fact is very clear--Our community is STRONG. So let me take a moment to give thanks:
Thank you to the students, who come to school every day ready and eager to learn.
Thank you to our teachers who, even with learning different instructional practices, continue to show a dedication to students that is incredibly admirable and inspiring.
Thank you to the parents/guardians, who have worked with us as partners and have shown patience as we navigate these unprecedented circumstances.
Thank you to the staff, who ensure that our students are supported, fed, and tended to.
Thank you to our custodians, who make our building safe and clean.
Thank you to all of you.
As we begin our temporary shift to virtual instruction on November 30th, please remember that we are all here to work together as a community. There will, undoubtedly, be bumps along the way, but please know that we all have the same goal--To ensure the success of our students academically, socially, and emotionally.
Each one of your teachers will be sending home a daily schedule that closely resembles the school day. We ask that you try to adhere to this schedule to ease their transition and help us continue to provide robust instruction to our students. If you are unable to accommodate the schedule, please work with your child’s teacher to access the content asynchronously.
As always, if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, feel free to reach out to either myself or Mrs. Plaster.
I hope that everyone is able to take some time these next couple of days.
