The PTA supports numerous activities throughout the school year. We organize the Scholastic Book Fairs and Reflections art contest, support dances, school field trips, clubs and teams, Academic Recognition, and Character Counts/Get Caught Reading programs to name just a few. We provide financial support to classroom initiatives that wouldn’t otherwise be possible. We are only able to do this with your support! Your PTA membership fee, our yearly fundraiser, and our Box Tops submissions support all these endeavors.
One means of supporting our PTA activities is through the collection of Box Tops for Education. This is a program that provides a monetary reward for each one we submit. Simply clip any Box Tops from providing packages and send them to school with your student. The pod who collects the most wins a celebration!
You can also help us to raise funds just by shopping on Amazon. By setting up “JS Wilson Middle School PTA” as your preferred charity on Amazon Smile, they will donate a portion of your shopping dollars to JS Wilson. Try it out and ask your friends and family to do the same.
The PTA is here to help support the students at J.S. Wilson, but we can't do it without you! Please consider joining the PTA for a small yearly fee and help out our school!

The announcements tab is where you can find all the information that was announced during the school day. These often include congratulations, sports/club announcements, reminders and upcoming JS events. The announcements are also archived, so you can catch up anytime or you can watch the JS YouTube channel.JS YouTube Channel
Please consider joining the PTA! Your membership not only helps support student activities and programs, it also allows you to volunteer for events.
To volunteer within the school, you must complete the clearance process:
New volunteers must complete the volunteer application, child abuse clearance, state police criminal record and FBI background check. There is a fee for the FBI background check and possibly for the TB test (depending on your healthcare plan).
If you’ve already completed the volunteer process within the district, you only need to submit the first page (sections I and IV) to the JS Wilson office for principal approval.
All application materials are available on the Personnel page ... just scroll to the “Volunteer Information” at the bottom of the page.
