Today is the first day of Red Ribbon Week. Hopefully you remembered to wear your favorite Jersey. On Tuesday everyone wear the craziest socks you can find. The theme is, "Sock it to Drugs." Lead and Seed club reminds you, that Your future is key, so stay drug free.

Congratulations goes out to the members of the marching band for their performance at the Harborcreek band competition on Saturday. The band had their highest score of the season, 87.5, and was third out of fifteen bands. The band will compete this Saturday at the LMBA Championships at Erie Veterans Stadium. Our band will perform at 8:30, so come on out at cheer on your “Big Blue” when they perform “Rise Up” for the final time in competition!


Seniors, a representative from Edinboro will be here on November 3rd. They are doing instant decision, so to meet with the representative you will need to have already applied to Edinboro and have your transcript with you. You cannot meet with them if you have not completed the application. Again, this visit is only for students who have already applied to Edinboro. If that is you, please register on Naviance.


The McDowell cross country team had the North West PA regional championships on Saturday at Haborcreek. The boys team had a dominant performance winning easily by 32 points with the top seven all In the top 21 places. They were led by individual champion Kamden Kramer, Caleb Willis 5th, Nicolin Pierce 9th, Dan Easly 11th, Landon Owens 12th, Brady Heeter 15th and Camden Pierce 21st. The girls finished 5th with out a full lineup. They were led by Eryn McFadden 18th, Natalie Markowitz in 23rd, Kyla Kramer 28th, Sira Frost 32nd, Graycn Farr 42nd, Rachel Dean 44th, Megan Ferber 52nd and Abby Major in 57th. They will be all heading to Titusville this Saturday for the district championships.


Attention Peer Friends: The Fantastic Friends Planning Meeting has been changed next Tuesday, October 26th during tutorial in room 4109 at MIHS. Please reach out with any questions to Mrs. Donikowski at!

Students in grades 9-11 that missed pictures days this year, there will be a one day makeup Picture day Thursday October 28th. Students with last names begining with A-J can report anytime between 8-11am to the building you are in during the time you report. Students with last names begining with K-Z can report anytime between 12-2 to the building you are in during the time you report.
