NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS

A quick reminder to students – there is no school Monday, October 14th due to a scheduled teacher inservice day.

Attention DECA members. There will be a meeting on Tuesday in room 202. All members must attend. If you cannot attend, you must stop and see Mrs. Pagano on Tuesday. See you there!

GUIDANCE ANNOUNCEMENTS

Are you a student with an interest in a health care profession? The Saint Vincent Explorer Program is a great opportunity to gain first-hand experience in a number of health careers. Don't miss out on this opportunity to be exposed to a wide variety of health care careers the first Wednesday of every month until May. If interested please stop into the high school guidance office.

SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENTS

The boys JV soccer team defeated The Kiski School yesterday 2-0. Robert Umpleby and Owen Petersen scored for the Trojans. Daniel Cabanillas registered an assist. Ethan Frost and Ryan Neff combined for the shutout in goal.

Attention all students interested in Indoor Track and Field, please sign up on family id and request access to the google classroom from Coach Yuhas as soon as possible. The deadline for sign ups is November 8th, 2019. See Coach Yuhas with any questions.

Congratulations to the McDowell Womens Golf team for their 30 shot victory yesterday at Treasure Lake Golf Course. The team was led by Team Captain Natalie Brosig, Zoey McClain, Brynn Moylan, Jazmyn Myers, and Avery Burdick. Great Job ladies. The State Final will be held October 23rd in York PA. GO TROJANS!

Attention anyone looking to participate in a winter sport. Winter Sports and Indoor Track Registration is now open. Registration opened on October 7th at 2:00 PM and will close on November 8th. Please note winter sports is grades 7-12 AND Indoor Track is grades 9-12. For further details please visit our athletics website mcdowelltrojans.com and click on the sports registration tab.

Attention all students walking along W. 38th St. where there are no sidewalks - due to the darkness in the mornings now, it is strongly advised that students walk against traffic, wear light clothing and carry a flashlight.

The high school library will be closed for 1st and 2nd lunch Thursday, Oct. 10 and all of 3rd block on Friday, Oct 11. For the teachers who have already signed up for the library usage, you must remain with your students while in the room.

Our second Drama Club meeting will take place this Friday during tutorial in Mr. Emmanuele's room, 2-101. If you need a pass, please see Mr. E before Friday. Everyone is welcome to join us for theatre games and acting practice.
