Important end of the year senior information.

Congratulations to our Class of 2020! We are proud of you and your accomplishments. We look forward to celebrating you soon! If you have questions, please contact the building or central office administration.

McDowell Students Selected to the PA Music Educators Association All State Orchestra

McDowell High School is proud to announce that three students have been selected to the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association All State Orchestra! They are junior Hannah Sontag (violin), junior Chance Stewart (bassoon) and sophomore Trinity Steff (violin). These students, along with six other McDowell musicians, were to perform as members of the Western Region State Orchestra on March 14. When this was cancelled, the audition process moved to online videos. Students from the three regional festivals across the state submitted video auditions to compete for a spot in the 2020 All State Orchestra. Congratulations to these fine musicians on this special accomplishment under these unusual circumstances!

New dates for the FAFSA/PHEAA webinar. (See news item about it below) The April 23rd webinar is closed. There will be one on April 30th at 6-7 pm. Additionally others will be held 5/7, 5/14, and 5/21 from 6-7 pm. Click this link to sign up.

Attention Seniors and Senior parents! Important FAFSA and PHEAA financial aid help.

PHEAA will be offering a webinar on Thursday, April 23, from 6:00 to 7:00 PM to gain a complete understanding of the financial aid process. Please join us and share this registration information with your students so they may join us via webinar. Representatives from the Pennsylvania Higher Education Agency (PHEAA) will be providing an overview of how to apply for all types of financial aid, including completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which is required to determine eligibility for most student aid programs such as the Pennsylvania State Grant, Federal Pell Grant, institutional offers, and federal student and parent loans.
This will also be a great opportunity to have PHEAA representatives answer questions you may have.
