MTSD Pre-K Program

Pre-K Classrooms at Asbury, Belle Valley, McDowell, Walnut Creek, and Westlake.

Pre-K Early Learning Program:

The Pre-K Program has been designed to provide MTSD families with high quality early learning experiences for their three through five-year-old children.  The MTSD Pre-K classes are located at the Asbury, Belle Valley, McDowell, Walnut Creek, and Westlake schools.

The learning environment focuses on the whole child by providing opportunities for social, emotional, and cognitive development along with math, science, arts, and physical development in preparation for kindergarten.  Pre-K students participate in a stimulating environment which emphasizes a love for learning.  The Pre-K Program utilizes a curriculum aligned with the Pennsylvania Early Learning Standards and the MTSD Kindergarten curriculum.  The goal of the MTSD Pre-K Program is to facilitate an environment that sparks your child’s curiosity for learning and help each child reach his/her fullest learning potential.

The Pre-K Program operates from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Parents can choose 5-day / week, 3-day / week, or 2-day / week schedules.  

Pre-K Extended Care:

Pre-K Before Care and Pre-K After Care is available for families who need extended care. 

The Pre-K classes at Belle Valley and Walnut Creek operate Before Care programs starting at 7:15 am.  An After Care program is available at these sites also, operating until 5:15 pm.

The Pre-K Program, including Pre-K Extended Care, has limited placements.  Contact the MTSD Early Learning Program Office at 814-836-6091 to check availability.
